Seattle Mayor's Small Business Award-Winner
April Lane's Home Cleaning is a 2003 Seattle
Mayor's Small Business Award recipient. These awards - given on a
one-time basis - honor the diversity and excellence of Seattle's
small businesses, and their contribution to the city's economic
vitality and quality of life. Ten winners are selected each year on
the basis of excellence in management, entrepreneurial spirit,
customer service, and community involvement.
The Award was first given in 1984 by Mayor Charles Royer
to Starbucks Coffee Company, Uwajimaya and nine others.
April Lane's -
the only home cleaning company to have received the
Mayor's Award - is in prestigious company
among fellow honorees Ezell's Fried Chicken (1989), Fran's
Chocolates ('92), Pagliacci Pizza ('92), Tully's Coffee ('95),
Dahlia Lounge ('98), Kathy Casey Food Studios ('99), Canlis
Restaurant ('07), and Cupcake Royale ('09).
