What is fair to expect right from the start?

Well, so much more than a repeat of the status quo. Your initial cleaning is about reclaiming your space with everything made new again. Unless your home is already HGQ ready, you are in for a beautiful new beginning.

What’s so unique about an Initial Cleaning?

Think of it as a deep refresh! This one-time, fully customized cleaning brings your home to ALHC’s professional maintenance level. You'll see that what our team does is truly a work of art. Our clients say what they come home to is “such a thrill”, and, “the best gift I've ever given to myself".

How do you always have the best people?

When meeting ALHC's owner for the first time this is the question asked most often by on-going clients. The short answer is, "We are extremely careful about who we hire. They have to be just the right fit and have a very beautiful heart. Then we just train the holy heck out of them!

What do you mean by “extensive training”?

ALHC cleaners go through the most extensive training in our industry. By the end of their training, our cleaners are what other companies refer to as “leads”. When we say "Excellence is our baseline", it's true.

Here is ALHC's training in a nutshell:

✔After many hours of homework our newbies enter into 2 weeks of 1-on-1 training. Our systems are extremely exact. They have to be if every cleaner is to provide perfect work all day, every day. And they do.

✔ Once they have nailed down the basics they are approved to move into solo training. This is where our cleaners gain true mastery. In order to graduate they have to give us two “perfects" in a row.

What’s a “perfect”?

Well if, for example, their cleaning of the entire home is impeccable, yet there's still dust on the base of the floor lamp at the far end of the living room behind the couch, well, that’s a “fail”... Maybe tomorrow.

The “fails” are there to show our training team that our freshman has not yet gained full mastery & needs more support. In this example the feedback would be that their dusting is simply gorgeous! Magnificent! So what we will focus on now is “transitions” and what to do with what we call “tricky-horizontals". As you can guess, 2 perfects in a row cannot be done by accident. The only way is through full mastery.

Our approach is more than most companies want to take on. But because our expectations are over the top, our hiring and training must be too.

How do you have all of the best people? ...THE LONG ANSWER

This is going to sound like a lot, because it is. However, the trust our clients place in us is also a lot. So, we take hiring very seriously. Honestly, sometimes it seems like a miracle that we hire anybody at all! We are crazy-choosey!

Here is our 6-step process.

1) Upon review of so, so many applications & their resumes usually only about 3 out of 14 applicants are moved forward to step 2.

2) These applicants are sent an online survey which evaluates their ethical beliefs & personality traits ensuring every interviewee is by nature an ideal fit for both our clients & our company culture.

3) Then we grade the surveys, lining them up with those who've been our best employees over time. Typically around 2 out of 5 will pass with the highest marks, moving them on to the 2-hour interview with April Lane. She really likes to get to know her people.

4) The interviewing stage is followed by employer reference checks & a nationwide background check.

5) The odds of making it through the 4th stage of screening is currently 5 out of 9. And with this they are hired! But do they then get to clean your house? NO. Not yet.

6) The last stage, & as is testament to the rigorousness of our training, only 3 out of 5 trainees tend to graduate & become a cleaning professional with ALHC.

What are the general terms of service?

The Initial Deep Cleaning is priced by the hour. If we finish early, hooray! You are only charged for the actual cleaning time. If we need more time than expected, we will check-in with you around the half way mark and see what you'll prefer before proceeding.

Fully Customizable Service. Tell us your priorities & we’ll tailor the cleaning to fit your unique vision.

Seattle’s Most Highly Trained Cleaning Team & No “Random Cleaners” There are so many people who put off hiring a cleaning company because they're nervous about who might be coming into their home. Our clients hired ALHC because of who comes into their home. Our cleaners & our clients truly are some of the loveliest people you'll ever meet.

Predictable Pricing. After your home reset, ongoing cleanings switch to a flat rate. Regardless of the speed of your cleaner, the price will always be the same. And at April Lane’s it is very fair for you to expect everything to be “perfect” each time. We’ve prepared for that.
